Rob got his start in training the summer of 1987, in Michigan, when he decided to start weight training as a means to gain some weight before going into the Navy. He was very motivated and thirsty for knowledge, so he read, listened and watched all those around him for new training ideas. Seeing his immense enthusiasm, two months after he began his training, a friend’s mother paid him to set her up on a workout regime. He trained friends, co-workers, and just about anyone who would approach him. He worked out in various gyms and in the spring of 2001, he was laid off from his automotive engineering job. At that point, with a little encouragement from his wife, he decided to pursue his passion and become a personal trainer as a full time job. After working at several Powerhouse gyms, in the fall of 2002, he found a little privately owned gym, Pointe Fitness and Training Center. He started as the opener and quickly evolved into the manager of the club. He worked at Pointe until he decided to move out to Colorado with his family to provide them with a better quality of life.
